SINOPSIS: "Short Cuts" aborda las vidas de hombres y mujeres, residentes en Los Ángeles, que intentan amoldarse al mundo laboral: policías, maquilladoras, conductores, cantantes de jazz, médicos, especialistas en sexo por teléfono, comentaristas de televisión, camareras... se van cruzando por el camino, ignorando los dramas que tienen lugar paralelamente.

Genial historia coral, con magnífico reparto, que narra las historias de varias familias californianas. Su estructura narrativa (en la que múltiples historias paralelas se entrecruzan en un momento dado) creó escuela en muchos de los films posteriores de los noventa.
